As part of our collaboration with the “NOWA” Housing Cooperative, we developed an interactive map showcasing resources in Jastrzębie-Zdrój and Żory, featured on the website “My Neighborhood, My Story”. This map enables users to explore the history of neighborhoods through two types of interactive markers:

• Photo Markers: Clicking on these markers reveals two photos – one archival image from the early days of the neighborhood and a modern image taken at the same location. Each marker includes additional information such as the author and location of the photos.
• Audio Markers: These markers allow users to play mp3 recordings of residents sharing their memories of the neighborhood’s beginnings. Short accompanying descriptions provide context for each recording.

This project integrates modern technologies with local heritage, offering residents and visitors an engaging and interactive way to learn about the history of these neighborhoods. By using a dedicated map solution, users can seamlessly navigate different locations and uncover unique stories tied to each place.

We’re proud of this project, which not only documents the past but also fosters connections between generations, encouraging the sharing of memories and experiences within the community.
